Reede, 29 Jaanuar 2021 13:29

How international touring of performing arts works can be more sustainable, balanced and inclusive?
How can the rural touring scheme contribute to this challenge?

Perform Europe supports experiments to make touring of performing arts works in Creative Europe countries more sustainable and inclusive. The ultimate goal of Perform Europe is to design a future support scheme for cross-border touring and digital distribution of the performing arts.

On 28 January 2021, the Perform Europe Opening Event gathered sector representatives and policy-makers to introduce the project’s guiding values, vision and importance in the current European performing arts touring landscape, and announce the opportunities it will provide.

Following the Plenary Opening, the 'Imagine the Future' Talks offered a few expert points of view on various aspects related to the distribution of the performing arts, Ralph Lister Chief Executive of Take Art was invited to talk about ‘rural touring’ and SPARSE - Supporting and Promoting Arts in Rural Settlements of Europe.
