Hamlet has been done in every way, classic, traditional, revisited, rewritten, avant-garde, psychological, because when you decide to do Hamlet you have to amaze, always... And often you are disappointed, everyone! But working on Hamlet is living... And this is perhaps the most beautiful part of the job ... Perhaps, as it used to be, Hamlet simply needs to be "done"!
This is what Stefano thinks, a penniless young actor who dreams of playing Hamlet. To play the prince of Denmark, after having established that no one will ever call him except for secondary roles, he decides to embark on a crazy undertaking, the only viable one: to do everything by himself, reduction, direction, music, costumes, bureaucracy, scenes ! This is why he chooses to accept the money offered by his sister, a young lawyer with a passion for theater who finances him on the condition that she takes on the role of Ophelia ... This is where our adventure starts: Stefano finds himself leading a company of ramshackle actors, a modern Brancaleone who spurs his army towards the epic enterprise of staging one of the most important, beautiful and difficult dramas of all time ...
